Help for the EQUUSIR BIOS app

Installation and initial setup

Download EQUUSIR BIOS app from Google Play

  • Important: The app only works with black controllers with 6 push buttons on the back.
  • Preparation: Activate Bluetooth, GPS and the data connection on your smartphone.

Firmware update

  • Controllers shipped by the end of January 2024 have firmware version 1.0.7.
  • To use the app, you need to perform a firmware update. Details can be found in the app's user manual.

Establish connection

  • Bluetooth connection: Establish via the EQUUSIR BIOS app, not manually via the smartphone.
  • Only one smartphone can be connected to the controller at a time.

Account and API key

  1. Create an account or log in:

    • If you already have an account on https://apps.equusir.com , you can use the app immediately.
    • Log in and go to “My Profile / 6 API ACCESS”.
    • If necessary, click on “GENERATE API TOKEN” and generate an API key and a QR code.

  2. Establish connection:

    • Scan the QR code or copy the API token and paste it into the app.
    • Make sure Bluetooth, GPS and data connection are enabled on your smartphone.
    • The app will automatically detect and connect the EQUUSIR BIOS controller.

Using the app

  1. Create profile:

    • Create profiles for horses, dogs or friends. If you only use the app for yourself, you don't need to create a profile because your account is automatically a profile.

  2. Manage devices:

    • Once connected, you can give the controller a name to make it easier to identify. This change will be saved locally on your smartphone.

  3. Program selection:

    • Select the desired profile, program and duration. Standard programs and custom programs are available.

  4. Start program:

    • After selecting the program, click on "Start program". The program will run even if the Bluetooth connection is interrupted.

Further information

  • LED indicators: Various LED light patterns indicate the status of the controller (e.g. connection, program start, battery).
  • History and API key management: The history of the applications is saved in the profile under “ANALYSIS”. You can renew the API key at any time.

Note: The custom program is valid for 28 days and can only be started via the app.
