Can the legs overheat during use?
No, the BIOS Boots are designed so that they do not overheat the legs. The material ensures even heat distribution to ensure comfortable and safe use. The targeted use of magnetic field therapy does not lead to overheating, but rather gently stimulates blood circulation and metabolism.
Is the horse allowed to move freely during the treatment?
When using the EQUUSIR BIOS Boots, it must be ensured that the horse does not lie down or run freely in the paddock - even if the Boots generally fit well. We recommend tying the horse up during use to ensure that the plug connections do not break, and the inlays cannot be damaged.
How long does a program last?
An application with the EQUUSIR BIOS Boots usually takes 30 minutes. The control unit switches off automatically after 30 minutes. If desired, the program duration can be extended to up to 2 hours using the BIOS App.
Do you have to put something under the Boots?
No, it is not necessary to put anything between the BIOS Boot and the horse's leg. Our Boots are designed to be used directly on the horse. They are made of high-quality materials that are comfortable on the coat and at the same time enable optimal therapy effects.
A big advantage of our BIOS-SYSTEMS is that the red cover can be washed. All you have to do is completely remove the inlay.
Are there any cases in which the Boots should not be used?
Yes, there are some cases in which the EQUUSIR BIOS Boots should not be used:
Pregnancy
Epilepsy or seizure disorder

Do the Boots help with acute tendon damage?
Yes, the BIOS Boots can be used to support acute tendon damage. In this case, the Calm program helps to relieve the pain and allow the inflammation to subside more quickly.
After the acute phase, they promote blood circulation and cell metabolism, which can have a positive effect on the healing process. However, in the case of acute injuries, they should always be used in consultation with a veterinarian.
Do the Boots help with windgalls/lymphedema (e.g. phlegmon)?
Yes, the BIOS Boots can help with windgalls by stimulating lymph flow and thus helping to reduce swelling. Magnetic field therapy helps to improve the drainage of lymph fluid and support the healing process.
However, caution is advised in the case of some lymphedemas, such as phlegmon.
In the case of acute phlegmon, the boots should only be used after consulting a veterinarian. Acute inflammatory conditions such as phlegmon usually require specific treatment and in some cases magnetic therapy may be contraindicated.
